John Jalsevac, School Director of ASHK

John Jalsevac
School Director

Mr. John Jalsevac has been working in the education sector for 35+ years. John was the Head of School at Mission Hills International School in Shenzhen, China, and he worked as Principal of the Upper School at the Canadian International School Hong Kong from 2004 - 2014. He is the founding School Director for American School Hong Kong since 2016.

John believes that the holistic, STEAM-focus American curriculum at ASHK, together with the caring community environment, can foster students to be responsible global citizens.

We are committed to providing a balanced and holistic program with equal emphasis on the intellectual, social, creative, and physical domains.

Amy Jackman
Elementary Principal

Ms. Amy Jackman has worked as a teacher and education leader for 20+ years at schools in New York City, USA and Shenzhen, China. She has designed programs and trained faculty on a variety of teaching approaches and is regarded as an expert on learning differences and cognitive coaching.

 

I am so fortunate to work at ASHK, where children are independent, confident and genuinely happy to come to school!
