ASHK is operated by Esol Education, the world’s largest operator of international American schools, with 40 years of expertise in establishing and operating international schools worldwide. ASHK opened in September 2016 with Kindergarten to Grade 6. ASHK added Middle School classes in 2017 and our High School program will begin in 2019 with the introduction of a grade 9 class. Grades 10 - 12 will be offered one year at a time beginning with grade 10 in 2020.

Admissions / Elementary School Assistant

Responsibilities:

Admissions (50%)

The Admissions Assistant will provide a full spectrum of administrative support for the Admissions Department including:

  • Assist with the organization of parent information presentations/school tours, student assessment sessions, and special admissions events
  • Handle general inquiries, correspondence, registration, logistics, and set-up
  • Enter data in the student information system
  • Build and maintain student files (electronic and paper)
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of documents to the EDB
  • Perform other duties as required
     

Elementary School Assistant (50%)

The Elementary School Assistant will provide administrative support to grade 3 - 5 homeroom teachers including:

  • Prepare lesson materials, bulletin board displays, exhibits, equipment, and demonstrations in collaboration with the Teacher
  • Undertake administrative duties such as inputting student data; producing class lists and reports; maintain records and files; collate materials; and order supplies and equipment as needed
  • Maintain and develop computer and technology skills for educational and administrative purposes appropriate to the needs of the school and to the students for whom the assistant is accountable
  • Attend school events and team and staff meetings as required
  • Will occasionally be required to assist in the classroom
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Degree holder, fresh graduates will be considered
  • 1-2 years work experience in a similar role preferred
  • Excellence in written and spoken English (Cantonese and Mandarin speaking ability is an asset)
  • Proficient with Office applications and Google Apps
  • Positive attitude with strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • A strong team player
